I have been recruiting in the legal market, primarily at the partner level, for over twenty years.  I founded Alpert Associates, LLC in 2004 after having worked at other legal recruiting companies, in order to have complete control of the process and relationships.  Running my own company allows me to focus my attention on a select number of candidates and ensure that everything is personally managed under the highest of standards.

My philosophy is that with insight, guidance and accurate information, the challenges intrinsic to a lateral move can be managed.  I am committed to maximizing the experience of examining one’s options in the legal profession and fulfilling each candidate’s unique career goals.  I continually seek to intimately understand the intricacies, objectives and culture of my clients’ organizations, in order to appreciate which lawyers would be welcome additions.  I work closely with Managing Partners, Hiring Partners, other firm leadership and the recruiting team to augment existing practice groups in accordance with an articulated vision for growth.

I received a B.A. in Psychology from Duke University in 1986 and a J.D. from the Washington College of Law in 1991.  I served as a trial-level and appellate judicial clerk and was a practicing attorney before finding my niche in the recruiting industry in 1998.  Having lived and worked here for my entire professional career, the Washington, DC metropolitan area is my main market.  Please do not hesitate to reach out, however, should you be interested in considering another part of the country.  I very well may be able to help and if not, will refer you to another legal recruiter whom I know and trust.  I look forward to hearing from you!
